Jon M Swenson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, creates drawings, prints and sculpture. He received his BA from the University of North Dakota, (UND), in 1974, his MA in Printing, Drawing, and Museum Studies from State University of New York, Oswego, in 1977, a postgraduate Certificate of Lithography from the Tamarind Institute, Albuquerque, NM, in 1979, and his MFA in Drawing and Printmaking from UND in 1993. After completion of his studies as a collaborative Master Printer and working in several fine art print shops, he established Land Mark Editions (LME) with his partner Bernice Ficek-Swenson in 1982. They worked with many local, regional and nationally established artists until 1995 and became nationally known for their promotion of monoprints and monoprint techniques. 

Swenson’s work has been exhibited across the country, including: Phipps Art Center, Hudson, Wi, Northrup King Building, Minneapolis, MN; North Dakota Museum of Art, Grand Forks, ND; Manitoba (Canada) Printmakers Gallery; New Visions Gallery, Ithaca, NY; University of Wisconsin-River Falls; Signature Gallery, Atlanta, GA; Penland School of Craft, Penland, NC.
